Join this two-hour excursion to visit Hungary’s Basilica of Esztergom. It’s a 15-minute journey from port via the city train, and once you’ve arrived you’ll have an hour and a half to go inside and explore. Built in the 1800s, the basilica’s the largest church in the whole country. Highlights include a red and white marble chapel, a huge hat-like dome, and an eerie crypt full of vaults. On your visit, head to the treasury, an Aladdin’s cave of church objects in gold and silver, before returning back to the ship.

This means all the roads around the Basilica will be closed to traffic, so the city train will not be able to run. We will still be able to continue with this excursion, however it will now be a walking tour. The walk from the ship to the Basilica is around 2km and will take around 30 minutes.
