The inside story

Il Museo di Belle Arti di Digione si trova nell'ala orientale dell'ex palazzo dei Duchi di Borgogna dal 1787. È uno dei musei più prestigiosi di Francia e vanta una collezione impressionante e in continua crescita di 150.000 opere d'arte, distribuite in 50 stanze.

Qui troverai dipinti, sculture, disegni e opere d'arte decorativa di artisti che vanno dall'antichità all'epoca contemporanea passando per il Rinascimento. Gli artisti presenti sono italiani, fiamminghi, svizzeri e tedeschi. Per citarne alcuni: Delacroix, Tiziano, Champaigne, Géricault, Manet e Monet; così come artisti borgognoni come François Rude e Jean-Baptiste Lallemand.

Il pezzo forte del museo è senza dubbio la straordinaria sala del palazzo. Realizzata in stile gotico fiammeggiante del XV secolo, ospita le tombe dei duchi di Borgogna, Filippo l'Ardito e Giovanni l'Impavido, entrambi capolavori dell'arte funeraria medievale.

L'ingresso gratuito alle collezioni permanenti è disponibile tutto l'anno.

Il museo ospita regolarmente vari tour a tema, attività creative e divertenti ed eventi notturni.
