The “Florence and a bite of Tuscany” tour is perfect to discover the beauty of Florence environs, cycling through the Tuscan Hills and visiting a Renaissance villa winery for olive oil and wine tasting.
We have the privilege of a perfect meeting point and starting location, at the very doorway to the Chianti countryside, thus avoiding the traffic and the crowd of the city center.
The ride will take you 2 km uphill with frequent stops to take amazing pictures and enjoy the beautiful views of the wine region; once on the top of the hill, we will be riding along scenic country roads, through villa estates of the local Florentine nobility, heading to the quiet, aristocratic beauty of a famous Renaissance villa hidden in the green, gentle land behind Florence.
Our professional local guide will show you around the villa, before leading you into the ancient wine cellar to do your wine and olive oil tasting, accompanied by a light Tuscan snack of local products.
Feel free to make your purchase as all products are produced on premises, and being such a small family production, they are only sold locally; both the wine and olive oil are available for shipping.
Our way back to Florence will take us by the spectacular Piazzale Michelangelo, one of the best views of Florence, where we will stop for pictures. From there we’ll continue our ride downhill back into Florence, passing through the old San Niccolo' neighborhood, to crown our unforgettable half day outing!
