The tour will start at 9.00am in a bakery in the centre of Bordeaux where you will be able to smell the flavours of freshly baked bread and share this moment with the baker.
The tour will continue at the most famous chocolate maker in Bordeaux, who has kept the secret of his recipes for several generations. The current owner of this mythical place will make you taste different chocolates such as ginger, green tea, or olive.
Before lunch, you will stop at a cheese dairy in Bordeaux and learn more about the know-how and characteristics of famous French cheeses such as Comté, Roquefort, Brie, etc. Your gourmet visit will end with a picnic lunch at the Bordovino's Apartment, in a beautiful 18th-century building.
At around 1.45pm, you will leave Bordeaux in a minivan and follow the "Route des châteaux" of the Médoc. Your guide will provide you with all the information you need about the wine regions of Bordeaux and the Médoc. You will stop in a charming and authentic family property*. You will visit the vineyards, take a tour of the traditional winery, and discover the cellar. You will also take part in a tasting class and will educate your nose to identify the aromas of the wines. At the end of the visit, you will have a tasting of the château's wines.
Around 4.30 pm, you will visit a Grand Cru Classé ** and more specifically the vineyards, the vat room, and the cellars. You will also be given some explanations about the winemaking process, from the vine to the bottle. Finally, you will enjoy the visit with a tasting of the estate's wines while enjoying an aperitif with French delicacies (cheese, fresh bread...).
