Dubrovnik is exactly what George Martin had in mind while creating the "Game of Thrones" universe. The city was not only featured as King’s Landing, but also as the City of Quarth. Lush green gardens on the Lokrum island were a part of the scenery as well. Explore all of the locations that made Dubrovnik a must-see destination for all the fans of the series!
The tour consists of two parts. Initially, you will explore the locations of scenes filmed in the old town, including Lovrijenac Fort, Pile Bay and Pile Gate. Afterward, you will take a ferry to the Lokrum island, who played the City of Qarth in the series. This is the place when you will find the original Iron Throne, a gift to the city from the GoT's producers. Don't miss a chance to get a photo of you sitting on it!
The island of Lokrum is Dubrovnik’s green jewel. After the short guided tour, you can decide to spend the rest of the day on Lokrum. There are rocky and cliffy beaches on the island, two restaurants, a snack bar and plenty of options on how to spend your leisure time. You can take a bath or simply chill out. Peacocks and bunnies are the only island’s residents and the green surrounding is a perfect place for relaxation. Just remember to catch the last ferry – overnight stays are not allowed since the island is nature protected forest reserve.
