La Palma's beauty doesn't just extend to its landscape, but its shores are also teeming with some amazing creatures. You'll set sail on the Flipper boat to spot whales and dolphins in their natural habitat and admire the famous Cueva Bonita.
After pick-up from your hotel, you'll begin sailing out of Tazacorte on the west coast in the shadow of epic volcanic cliffs. The boat trip lasts about two-and-a-half hours and, if the weather conditions allow, there'll be a stop for a dip. The crew will give you the lowdown on the marine life off western La Palma – a habitat to at least 29 types of cetaceans. Sightings cannot be guaranteed but with luck, you might spot pilot whales and dolphins among others.
You'll sail as far north as the Cueva Bonita, a grotto carved by the force of the sea into 200m-high volcanic cliffs. Rounding off the trip is a swimming stop in a cove or creek on the return to Tazacorte.
