Tour St Petersburg in the winter and visit the city's two top attractions - the Hermitage Museum and the Catherine Palace in one day.
The Hermitage Museum is one of the most renowned art galleries in the world, boasting some three million artworks including Da Vinci, Raphael, Rembrandt just to name a few of the artists whose masterpieces are displayed there.
Catherine Palace is famous for its beautifully decorated halls dating back to the Russian imperial age. A visit here would not be complete without seeing the stunning Amber Room, decorated with amber panels, gold leaf and mirrors.
In between the two main stops, you will enjoy a highlights tour of St Petersburg with opportunities for photos, along with a 30 minute stop for lunch.
Itinerary:
10.00am – 11.00am : Transfer to the Tsar’s Village (now called Pushkin)
11.00am – 12.30pm : Catherine Palace tour (except Tuesdays) or Peterhof Palace tour
12.30pm – 1.30pm : Transfer to the Hermitage Museum
1.30pm – 4.30pm : Hermitage Museum tour
5.00pm : Return to your hotel
