On this tour, you'll visit a mountain village perched on the rock, surrounded by the landscape of the Sierra de Mariola Natural Park. Bocairent is one of the most beautiful villages with an authentic flavor of the Valencian Community. It was built during the Islamic times by the Berber or Amazigh ethnic group, and followed by several civilizations over time that left a remarkable heritage with several monuments, such as the Moorish caves, the medieval quarter, and the excavated bullring.
Its medieval quarter has labyrinthine streets and houses half-carved into the stone. There you can visit monuments such as the snowfield located in the town, the church Santa Maria de l'Assumpció, which has an extraordinary goldsmith's museum, and the Plaza de Toros, which dates from 1843 and whose site is excavated in the rock. The most famous monument of the town is the set of caves excavated by the Berbers and called Covetes dels Moros, which can be visited inside.
You can also get to know the local products by adding an optional tasting of herbero liqueur and pericana.
