Do this because
  • Experience the unique opportunity to view a whale species that is only in the area for a short time in the spring
  • Admire other wildlife including Steller sea lions, sea otters, harbor seals, mountain goats, bears, eagles, humpback whales, and orcas
  • Explore the rugged coastline and beautiful scenery of Resurrection Bay
What to expect

Search for gray whales in the waters around Seward. During this time of the year, the grey whales arrive in Alaska as part of their 10.000 miles migration. Listen to your expert captain who will tell you about the migration of these incredible marine mammals.

They spend the summer in the shallow waters of the Arctic feeding before continuing their migration south to deliver their calves in warmer waters.

During this Spring Wildlife Cruise, you will head towards the edge of the Gulf of Alaska searching for gray whales. Keep your eyes out for other wildlife such as sea lions, sea otters, porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles or other whales.

Passing through Resurrection Bay you might see some mountain goats along the coast in addition to the beautiful, rugged scenery.
