Walking around the fjords is a must when staying in Bergen, and this hike will give you a real sea-to-summit feel with stunning views and scenery on the way.
You will meet your guide in the centre of Bergen and start your experience with a drive to North Europe’s largest inland island, located north-east of Bergen. You will arrive to the starting point of your hike after about 45 minutes and you will start your walk through beautiful open countryside, wild nature and stunning fjord views.
The hiking path is in uneven and rugged terrain so some mountain hiking experience is necessary. The total hiking time is around 3 to 4 hours and you will ascend to a summit with an altitude of 700 metres above the fjord. You will be served a light Norwegian snack along the way and you will learn about the local area and culture. At the end of the hike you will be driven back to Bergen town centre.
