The depart will be in the early afternoon from Colmar, the heart of the Alsace wine region You will travel in comfortable air-conditioned transport to step into the medieval Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle and learn the history behind the mountain fortress that has bore witness to conflicts between lords, kings and emperors since the 12th century.
You will also visit the quaint village of Kaysersberg. The colorful half-timbered houses and cobblestoned streets make these centuries-old villages truly picturesque.
To finish off your afternoon you'll be taken to a winemaker to experience the established methods of local winemaking and of course the opportunity to sample the results!
You will travel back along the wine route, enjoying the views of the rolling green hills and abundant vineyards to arrive comfortably back at your accommodation for the early evening.
