A trip to Florence is not complete without a visit to the two most iconic and world-renowned towns in Tuscany, Siena and San Gimignano.
You'll kick your day off by travelling from Florence to Siena with your English-speaking tour leader who will tell you all about the history and traditions of this town. Renowned for the Palio, which dates to the Middle Ages, this town is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you're sure to be in awe as you walk through the narrow streets of the old town.
On the way to San Gimignano, you will take in the idyllic Tuscan countryside with its gentle hills and vineyards that produce the world renowned Chianti wines. You'll hear all about the town's history and heritage along the way from your tour leader. Spot the skyline of the tower houses from far and enjoy your free time in the town, where you will have free time to wander on the narrow streets and admire the architecture of this unique UNESCO world heritage site, famous for its medieval tall buildings and encircling walls.
Your Tour Leader will be able to assist you on how to spend your free time, where to have lunch and the best gelato! We will also treat you to a small tasting and a glass of the famous local wine, so you can have a true flavor of what Tuscany is about!
You will then drive to our last destination, Pisa, for a chance to see the most famous bell tower in the world (from the outside) and enjoy the free time of the magnificent complex around it, also known as Square of Miracles. Along the way, your English-speaking Tour Leader will be explaining you about Pisa, its history and will be available for any questions and assistance you may need.
