After meeting your guide on the Place des Terreaux, plunge for 3 hours into a cultural and dynamic city full of exciting stories.
During your visit, your local guide, who is passionate about his city, will show you hidden places. After crossing the Saône, discover the Lyon old Town, the largest Renaissance district in Europe, classified by UNESCO. Continue your walk through the cobbled streets and admire the medieval architecture before tasting a local delicacy in a small confectionery. Discover the "Traboules", typical and unique hidden passages to move around the city. You will then take a funicular to the top of Lyon where you will learn more about the city's rich history and culture.
Visit the ancient Roman ruins of Lugdunum founded in 43 B.C, then enter the basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière to admire the remarkable mosaics and decoration of the city's highest church. To end on a high note your visit, you will admire the fabulous view of the riverbanks of Lyon before going down to the pedestrian area of the old town where your guide will give you some advice on how and where to spend your time.
