What to expect

In this walking tour, you will discover the essence of Madrid and all the places that can't go amiss when visiting the capital of Spain. The tour will not only show you Madrid's history, but will also allow to experience the culture, gastronomy, and life of this amazing city. Madrid has streets, legends and proverbs that only insiders of the city are able to tell - we have this all sorted for you!

We will walk from the beginning of the time when Madrid was only a little village up to the moment in which Philipp II transformed it into the capital of the Spanish empire. The Madrid of the Habsburg is an amazing example of how a city and its population may change and grow without losing its essence, keeping what is called the Madrid Castizo through the years.

Places visited: Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Arco de Cuchilleros, Plaza de la Villa, Monument to victims of the attack against Alfonso XIII, Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral (outside), Plaza de Oriente and Royal Theatre.
