15-minute cycling from the city center, and with young bicycle guides, you will discover the original oasis of Marrakech in an environmentally friendly way. You will traverse fancy villas and huge castles to follow off-track roads, and explore tiny villages in the heart of the oasis (palm-groove) where locals still live.
You will enjoy a tea stop with Mr. Aziz at his atelier, with fresh bread, butter, olive oil, and more together where he will share his special stories. Your local guide will introduce their culture, how precious water is for them, and the holiness of the palm trees that are of major importance for the oasis. You will learn about the ways the community survives in these difficult geographic circumstances by visiting an old irrigation water system.
You will have several stops to meet Moroccan handcrafts in their tiny ateliers of wood, rattan, Moroccan tiles (Zelij), and metal, where you will spot the simplicity of materials and technics that shapes beautiful art pieces.
