Discover the new face of Leonardo Da Vinci and visit his vineyard, which has only now returned to its former glory. In 1498, the Duke of Milan, Ludovico Sforza, gave Leonardo this vineyard which was planted and cultivated in the fields at the bottom of the garden of the Casa degli Atellani. Today, you can admire the original vines with this exclusive guided visit.
With the patient work of Milanese architect Piero Portaluppi, who renovated the old Atellani house, as well as help from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Confagricoltura in Milan, the garden has been brought back to life for the public along with the Atellani house-museum.
The tour of Casa degli Atellani and Leonardo’s vineyard is divided into seven sections, with commentary in English and Italian.
