Visit some of the main sights of Milan in half a day. After the Teatro alla Scala, Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting The Last Supper (Cenacolo) is undoubtedly the highlight of the tour. But there's plenty more in Milan than Leonardo's masterpiece. This Grand Tour also includes a panoramic city tour by bus and a short walking tour which will introduce you to Italy’s most stylish city.
You'll start with a panoramic bus ride through some of the most important city areas such as the fashionable Corso Venezia, Piazza San Babila and Piazza Fontana. Then you'll visit one of the most famous opera houses, Milan's fabled La Scala Theater. Your entrance ticket provides 24-hour admission to the theater and museum so you can return the next day.
After La Scala, take a stroll through the alluring Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a 19th-century glass vaulted shopping arcade and Italy's oldest shopping mall. Before Leonardo's masterpiece, visit the medieval Sforza Castle and the splendid Duomo, one of the world's largest, most striking Gothic cathedrals.
Finally, you'll reach the 15th-century Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Cenacolo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Extensive measures have been taken to renovate and protect this unique painting. To ensure that the fresco is kept at room temperature, admission has been restricted to a maximum of 25 visitors at any one time since the 1999 reopening. As a participant of the Grand Tour, you'll gain priority access to admire this unique masterpiece!
