Once you wrap up your mansion tour head over to the Great River Road Steamboat Museum boasting a 35,000 sq ft space adjacent to the Houmas Estate. The museum details life on the Mississippi River. Exhibits and artifacts present visuals and explore the commerce, folklore, culture, and the music of the lower Mississippi River. The museum also features a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A handicap-accessible bridge is steps away from the entrance and offers a fun way to cross River Road and have a front-row seat to view the Mississippi River.
