Located about 90 minutes from Reykjavík, the Hvítá river has a perfect mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping rapids. On your way, you will pass through the magnificent Brúarhlöð canyon where participants can jump from high cliffs into the glacier waters.
Experience Iceland's wild water and glacier river. Rafting down the entire length of the river will take up to an hour and a half. Following the excursion, there will be time to relax in the sauna. The Drumbó base camp serves a traditional lamb bbq buffet every day, this is an extra cost. This is a great place to stop for lunch or early dinner before or after your rafting trip.
PLEASE NOTE: Although you don´t need to "swim" while river rafting/canoeing, it is recommended that you can. Thus, it is preferred everyone on this tour is able to swim or at least comfortable with floating in the water.
