The trail in this tour will start at Ribeira Funda, in the parish of Fenais da Ajuda, where you'll be in direct contact with the coastal landscapes, nature and vegetation typical of the island of São Miguel.
This walk is full of history and memories reflected in photographic and informative panels that will remind you of the local ancestors and their customs, as well as multiple ruins of ancestral watermills and waterfalls. Along the way, you'll cross the remote Praia da Viola, located in the parish of Lomba da Maia. From there, you'll head towards the end of this adventure, which finishes at the Calhau D'Areia Beach fishing port, in the serene and peaceful parish of Maia. Following on from this experience, you'll visit the Santa Iria viewpoint, the lighthouse and a tour of Ribeira Grande's main attractions.
