During the private tour, you will discover the Château de Versailles, the home for three generations of French kings and queens from 1682 until they were chased out in 1789 during the French Revolution. Be prepared to be amazed by the decadent furnishings, the sparkling hall of mirrors, the symmetry, and the preciseness of the colorful garden!
Throughout the day you will be accompanied by your professional guide who will talk to you about the Palace of Versailles, a historic castle listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the morning, you will have about 1.15 hours at your disposal to visit the States Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queen & King bedrooms with an audioguide. Then your guide will lead you to the sublime gardens of Versailles designed by André Le Nôtre, a project that will span forty years. Before continuing the visit, your guide will give you some recommendations for lunch inside the park. In the afternoon, your guide will take you to visit the Grand Trianon, richly furnished and decorated with Napoleon furniture from the 18th century. You will stroll in the Park to get in the newly renovated “Domaine de Marie Antoinette” with the Small Trianon and the Hamlet Village where her majesty could enjoy a rustic and country life far from the formalism of the court.
Finally, you will be back at your hotel around 5.00 pm.
