During this full-day tour, you will travel aboard a executive 16-Seater minibus with a professional guide who will give you commentaries and share stories of the region as you enjoy the fantastic views. Once you have left Windermere, you will drive through the heart of the National Park, beside the lakes and through the valleys, and on towards Penrith and the North of the country. The tour will continue into the remote Debatable Lands heading to Lanercost Priory, with time to visit the church built within the priory ruins. You will then follow Hadrian's Wall, past Mile Castles and Towers, to your lunch stop at The Roman Army Museum. After lunch, you will visit Vindolanda, a Roman auxiliary fort and settlement. The site is still being excavated and is brimming with Roman history! Finally, you will continue along the Wall as you pass in front of the spectacular Fell End, Sunny Rigg, Great Chester and Steel Rigg, before making your way back to Windermere.
