This mystery tour takes an afternoon to explore Bristol and it's beer scene on foot. Included are seven delicious locally brewed beers on four brilliant, independent stops, a ferry journey and fascinating facts about the historic sights and street art you see on your walk.
At the starting point, a lovely pub which is over 200 years old, you'll be given your welcome envelope from one of the lovely bar staff. This will contain tokens to exchange for your beers and a map telling you where you'll be spending them! There's also your ferry fare and a card with some interesting facts about the sights and street art that you'll see on your tour.
After enjoying two local beers here, you'll venture into three other very different, independent locations in the area. There's another traditional pub with outdoor space, a brewery tap room where all of the delicious beers are brewed on the premises, and a great bar filled with curiosities. There's a locally brewed beer or three in each venue included in the price (just hand over your token), but feel free to stay for more if you like. The great thing about this tour is that you can do it at your own pace. You'll also be given a bowl of nuts in the second pub.
Aside from the ferry trip, you'll be covering a few miles on foot. There's around a fifteen to twenty-minute walk between each venue. Taking your time is especially important on this tour because you pass right by historic gems, such as the SS Great Britain and The Matthew, as well as loads of brilliant street art pieces painted for Upfest, Europe's largest street art festival (don't forget to look behind you!) Your map will also take you to a hidden Banksy. Typically, people spend 3-5 hours taking this tour and it's best taken during daylight.
There will be plenty of beer styles to try on your tour, including pale ales, IPA'S, lagers, wheat beer, traditional bitter ale, stouts and porters. If you don't fancy just drinking beer, there are some excellent ciders available instead to enjoy.
