Enjoy a full-day exploring Iceland and it's most impressive sights in the golden circle. Start your day with a visit to the Þingvellir National Park and take the opportunity to walk between two tectonic plates (Eurasian and North-American). Admire the fantastic volcanic landscapes around as you explore the historic area dating back to the Viking Age.
Next up is the Haukadalur geothermal valley where you get to see the Strokkur geyser erupt shooting boiling water into the sky. Make sure to visit the mud pools, hot vents and fumaroles around the geysers before heading on. After a little snack, you will visit the Golden Falls. This spectacular waterfall is the main sight of the golden circle route. Behold the magnificence of the waterfall from the viewing platform.
If it is possible you will head on a different road off the beaten path into the highlands of Iceland. You will visit the second-largest glacier of the country. Look out of the window for some stunning scenery along the ride. As a last stop your driver will take you to the beautiful Faxi waterfall or the ancient crater lake of Kerið before bringing you back to Reykjavik.
