Start the tour with a visit to Edo Castle, the residence of the Tokugawa shogun. Continue to Meiji Jingu Shrine where the spirits of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken are enshrined. Visit costume shops in Harajyuku Takeshita-dori, the young fashion district.
Next up is a visit to Asakusa Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest temple located in Shitamachi old town. There are many good local restaurants and interesting bars; a pleasant place to conclude the tour. The tour does not extend into the evening, but your tour guide is available to recommend where you can have your evening meal.
