The inside story

Keukenhof is the largest and most beautiful flower park in the world. Located in the small town of Lisse near Amsterdam, it is open to the public from mid-March to mid-May. One of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands for over sixty years, Keukenhof is the best place to see spring blossom.

The park has no less than 32 hectares of land where 7 million bulbs are planted in Keukenhof. Walk along the 9 miles of footpaths admiring 800 varieties of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths all in bloom!

Apart from delighting the visitors’ eyes with rich colors, Keukenhof has everything for spending a great day out, including spectacular flower shows and parades, inspirational artwork exhibitions and other wonderful events. Thanks to a variety of fun activities, like treasure hunting, petting zoo and even a maze, Keukenhof is a perfect place for children of all ages.

Additional information:

  • Opening hours:
    • Keukenhof is open daily, April to May, from 8.00am to 7.30pm
    • Enjoy the park with less crowds by visiting before 11.00am or after 3.00pm and/or plan a visit on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
    • Children ages (4-17) receive a reduced-priced ticket
    • Infants ages (0-3) can enter the park for free without a ticket
    • Dogs are allowed in Keukenhof as long as they are leashed. But please note that dogs are NOT allowed in the pavilions or restaurants with exception of guide/helper dogs
    • Parking is available for a fee of €6.00, this is not included in the price of your ticket
    • The park offers excellent access for wheelchairs
    • Wheelchairs are available for free with a security deposit of €20.00 in cash. But note that these must be reserved in advance to guarantee that one is available
    • The deposit will be refunded when you return the wheelchair
    • Only wheelchairs, Zimmer frames, prams/strollers or buggies are allowed at the park. Other modes of transport are not permitted
