ALBEROBELLO & POLIGNANO

A pair of pretty Italian villages are on the itinerary on this full-day trip. You'll start by making a beeline for Alberobello - this place is famous for its signature 'Trulli' houses which have eye-catching conical rooftops. As you walk around the village you'll see loads of these limestone dwellings - in fact they're in such good supply that UNESCO applied heritage status to Alberobello. The second village on the agenda is Polignano nicknamed the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' because of its first-rate clifftop setting. After a guided walking tour you'll have free time to roam amongst the Byzantine and Greek buildings before boarding a transfer back to the ship.
