You'll bid farewell to Edinburgh and head north to discover the real Scotland.
DAY 1: Edinburgh to Oban
Departing from Edinburgh, journey to the renowned Kelpies, the world’s tallest equine sculptures, then pass by Stirling's views of the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle and traverse the untamed landscapes of Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe.(Overnight: Oban)
DAY 2: Oban to Isle of Skye
Travel through some of Scotland’s most awe-inspiring landscapes on the way, taking in serene lochs, rugged scenery and waterfalls flowing from great heights on the mountain ranges. *Those who have pre-purchased train tickets will ride the Jacobite Train. (Overnight: Portree)
DAY 3*: Isle of Skye to Inverness
Today, we meet Kilt Rock and the famous Old Man of Storr. Returning to the mainland, our journey includes a stop at Eilean Donan. (Overnight: Inverness)
*From November 1st, 2024, we will visit Dundreggan Rewilding Centre and learn about Scotland's ancient Caledonian Forest, before making our way to Inverness.
DAY 4: Inverness
Look out for 'Nessie' as we embark on an optional cruise along the mysterious waters of Loch Ness before journeying north to Beauly with its ruins of Beauly Priory, featured in the books of Outlander and a history dating back to 1230AD.
Then a visit to Culloden Battlefield, the last battle of the Jacobite Uprising. (Overnight: Inverness)
DAY 5: Inverness to Edinburgh
Visit the chamber cairns and standing stones of Clava Cairns, said to have inspired Outlander.
