Leave the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh behind as you head north into the stunning Scottish countryside with your fantastic driver-guide. You'll hunt for Nessie at Loch Ness, admire the stunning scenery as you travel through Glen Coe and discover the magic of the Highlands as you take in the most iconic sites that Scotland has to offer!
You'll kick off your day travelling towards the Highlands and passing by some of Scotland's most famous attractions including the Forth Railway Bridge, Perth and Dunkeld before reaching your first stop of the day. Pitlochry is one of the gateways to the Highlands which lies on the River Tummel. Here, you'll be able to sample some delicious home baking and stretch your legs before heading further north.
As you travel through Cairngorms National Park, you'll discover some of the most spectacular and unique scenery in the the UK. It has five of the highest mountains in the UK within its limits which definitely makes it a must-see! Then, it's time for the second stop of the day, Loch Ness. Tuck into a tasty lunch at Drumnadrochit, take a cruise on the loch to hunt for the monster or follow in the footsteps of royalty and explore Urquhart Castle.
As you bid farewell to Nessie and pass through the Great Glen, you'll reach the Commando Memorial which was dedicated to the Royal Marine Commandos who trained there during WWII. You'll have a quick stop here to look at the monument and to snap some shots of Ben Nevis which is the UK's highest mountain. Then it's onto Glen Coe which is steeped in beauty and history. As you stand at the mouth of the glen, you'll feel the past come to life as your guide tells you about the terrible massacre of Glen Coe and the parts that the clans played in this brutal part of Scottish history.
As you leave the Highlands behind and head back to the city, you'll pass by the Stirling to salute William Wallace which is the perfect end to your Scottish adventure!
