This tour showcases the best of Kos in just one day. You'll see the archaeological site of Asklepieon and the pretty hilltop village of Zia. The sands of time may have changed ancient Asklepieon, but it remains one of Greece's most important archaeological sites. According to tradition, Hippocrates, who was born on the island of Kos, received his medical education and practiced at the Asklepieon. Among the attractions are the remains of the world's first hospital, where doctors learned about medicine from Hippocrates, and made the first hub for medical research.
You'll also visit the mountain village of Zia, which sprawls beneath Mount Dikaios and is best known for traditional architecture and wonderful views of the coast. Here you'll taste the local kanelada drink and have the chance to look around the craft shops and find somewhere for lunch. What's more, there's a tour and tasting session at a winery, alongside a visit to the seaside town of Kefalos, where you'll have free time to explore or relax on the beach.
