This two-day flying safari takes you from the Kenyan coast straight into the heart of the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Combining scenic flights, immersive game drives and a stay in a riverside tented camp, this journey offers an unforgettable introduction to one of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems.
Your adventure begins with a morning flight from Mombasa, offering sweeping aerial views across Kenya’s landscapes and, on clear days, the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival at the Maasai Mara airstrip, you’ll be met by your driver guide and begin your first game drive as you make your way towards Mara Governors Camp. Set along the winding banks of the Mara River, the camp offers a stunning base surrounded by riverine forest and abundant wildlife. After check-in and lunch, you’ll head back into the reserve for an afternoon game drive, where you may encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos and even elusive leopards roaming the open plains. As the sun sets, return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay immersed in the sounds of the African bush.
On day two, rise early for a sunrise game drive when the Maasai Mara is at its most active and wildlife is often easiest to spot in the cool morning light. After returning to camp for breakfast, you’ll check out and transfer to the airstrip for your mid-morning flight back to Mombasa. From there, you’ll be transferred back to your beach hotel, bringing your unforgettable flying safari experience to a close.
