Your journey through Central Park begins at the corner of 5th and 59th. You'll first encounter the Central Park Zoo, home to a diverse array of animals including monkeys, pythons, and penguins and the whimsical Delacorte Clock.
Next, you'll come across the statue of Balto and learn about this Alaskan dog's connection to New York. The tree-lined Mall and Literary Walk await. The Naumburg Bandshell, which has hosted speakers like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Fidel Castro, is another significant stop.
Your route includes the Italianate Bethesda Terrace, offering splendid park views and recognisable from various films. You'll see monuments to Hans Christian Andersen and Alice in Wonderland before reaching The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The tour continues past the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir and the Great Lawn, known for hosting major musical events. Before concluding at Columbus Circle, you'll visit a castle, a Shakespearean garden, the John Lennon memorial at Strawberry Fields, and the famous carousel.
