What to expect

Meeting point:
The meeting point is at the brown wooden newsstand with the yellow sign: MEETING POINT, Calle Larga de l'Ascension, St. Mark’s Square, in front of the Post Office. Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure time.
What to remember

Know in advance:

  • With the same ticket, you can visit by yourself other museums in St. Mark's Square: Old Royal Palace now Museo Correr, Museo Archeologico Nazionale and the monumental rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana
  • On Sundays and holidays, due to the mass being held on the ground floor, the tour will start directly from the Terrace and Museum on the second floor. The famous mosaics will be visible only partially from the second floor
  • During days of high turnout or for reasons of force majeure (such as high tide or security problems) the waiting time to access St. Mark's Basilica might be longer than expected
  • This tour is not fully accessible for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities
  • Please note that on certain days between 18th April 2025 and 27th July 2025, every visitor to Venice is required to pay, directly to Venice Municipality, an access fee, unless otherwise excluded.
