What to expect

The recipe to the ultimate Scottish experience is rather simple with just three ingredients: castles, lochs and whisky. You'll move at a relaxed pace as you savour the true flavour of Scotland with stops at some of Scotland's most loved and iconic tourist attractions. Swing by the mythical Kelpies, follow in the footsteps of William Wallace as you explore Stirling Castle and town and

Kick off your day of exploring at the mysterious Kelpies. This engineering feat was made by sculptor Andy Scott and is based on the mythical, shape-changing water creatures who disguise themselves as horses. You'll learn more about their story and why these scultpures are here today from your knowledgeable driver-guide. Then you'll hit the road to Stirling where your guide will bring the history of William Wallace to life! Stirling is a historic market town with a wealth of treasures to explore. You'll have two hours to discover the town and the castle at your own pace or if you prefer something a little different, why not visit the new gin distillery or take a stroll through the beautiful, ancient streets that make up this medieval town.

Then it's time to leave the town behind and head over the Duke's Pass to take in the dramatic views of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Aberfoyle is a small holiday village in the heart of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. There's a lot to explore here and something for everyone! If you are interested in wildlife, you should watch a sheepdog demonstration, learn about the sheep in the area or witness duck herding. Or you could wander around the shops, explore the beautiful village and check out the wool mill. Then you'll visit the beautiful lochside village of Balmaha where you can take a short hike up to Craigie Fort and enjoy stunning views of the loch and its bonnie banks.

The last stop of the tour is the family-owned distillery of Glengoyne. Here you can learn the process of how they create the perfect dram and taste a couple too on this optional guided tour. If whisky isn't your thing, you can walk the West Highland Way and take in the stunning views of this peaceful glen before heading back to Edinburgh. .
