Walk Sistiana's breath-taking one mile Rilke Trail which leads to the town of Duino and stroll along Trieste's Riviera coastline. Admire the Falesie di Duino (Duino Reserve) made of carbonate rocks created from shells at the bed of the shallow sea - whilst overlooking the entire Gulf of Trieste and taking in its magnificent views. You'll hear about how the path was named after the famed poet Rainer Maria Rilke who got inspiration from the path which he walked every day. The route which is mostly flat ends in the town of Duino where you can admire the Castle of Duino from the inside & outside. After the trail enjoy a panoramic drive of Trieste before heading back to the ship.
